De-scaling

Keeping your shower clean and free from limescale is essential in order to get maximum performance from your shower and handset. A shower will work more efficiently if the handset is not blocked with deposits from hard water and limescale.

Manufacturers have found a way to help with this – many handsets now incorporate Rub-clean or Pin-clean sprayplates. These mechanisms prolong the life of your shower head and reduce the need for descaling agents and are usually found on handsets with more than one spray mode.

Rub-clean

A handset with this type of sprayplate will have dozens of small rubber nozzles over the surface.

Simply rubbing your fingers over the nozzles can eliminate limescale and hard water deposits, making sure you have a perfect shower every time.

pin clean Pin-clean

Just by turning the handset lever until the blue pins appear, calcium deposits are dislodged and fall away, giving your shower the perfect spray pattern once more.
